For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a complicated relationship with my body. As a kid, I was skinny with a big head and a noticeable overbite — an easy target for teasing. Then, as I grew older, I swung to the opposite side and became a chubby teenager. Those years came with deep self-esteem struggles and a constant battle with food and body image.
Things began to change in college when a good friend, Jesse, introduced me to weightlifting and martial arts. For the first time, I discovered what my body could do — not just how it looked. I got stronger, faster, and more confident, but I still struggled with binge eating and unhealthy habits that kept me from reaching my full potential.
Over time, I started learning more — cutting back on sugar, adding sprints, and paying closer attention to nutrition. I began to understand how to fuel my body properly, not punish it. That curiosity led me to seek out some of the best minds in the fitness industry. I traveled across the country — from mentorship programs in California to specialized training in Boston and Florida — learning everything I could about human movement, health, and performance.
In 2007, I became a certified personal trainer. But more importantly, I found my purpose.
Working with people of all ages, backgrounds, and goals taught me that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to health. What transforms one person might not work for another — and that’s what makes this journey so meaningful.
I’ve helped clients ranging from everyday individuals to older adults rediscover their strength and independence — building balance, confidence, and energy to do the things they love. Whether it’s gardening pain-free, playing with grandkids, or traveling without assistance, my mission was to help people live stronger, more capable, and more fulfilling lives.
I’ve also had the privilege of working with cancer survivors and rehabilitation patients, helping them rebuild mobility, strength, and confidence after recovery. Seeing someone light up because they can lift their own suitcase again or saddle their horse for an evening ride — that’s the kind of success that drives me.
When COVID hit, everything changed. My fitness business came to a halt overnight — and like many others, I had to reinvent myself. Around that same time, I met and fell in love with an amazing woman, and together we built a new life and career in the life and health insurance industry.
The transition was both exciting and humbling. We moved to a new community, joined the local Chamber of Commerce, and threw ourselves into outreach and networking. In the early days, we didn’t know anyone — even a simple trip to Walmart reminded us that we were starting over. But after years of hard work, we finally began recognizing familiar faces around town. That sense of belonging meant more than we ever expected.
During this period, I also faced new challenges. A back injury during the move made me less active, and long days sitting at a desk or traveling across the country for insurance enrollments left little time for exercise. The pounds added up, and before I knew it, I was back to my heaviest weight — 279 pounds. My knees and back hurt, and I barely recognized myself.
But in April 2024, during a work conference in Las Vegas, my friend Jose, challenged me to join him in the 75 Hard program — a mental toughness and fitness challenge. I accepted. On May 1st, back home in Georgia, I decided it was time to take control again.
The first few weeks were tough. I had to split my outdoor walks into three 15-minute sessions just to make it through. But I stayed committed: no sugar, no alcohol, and two workouts a day — one inside, one outside.
By the end of 75 days, I had dropped 19 pounds, from 271.4 to 252.4, and more importantly, I rediscovered my energy, focus, and sense of purpose.
That challenge reignited something in me — the same drive that first led me into fitness years ago. I realized my mission hadn’t changed. I still wanted to help people live healthier, stronger, and more confident lives — whether through insurance planning, fitness coaching, or both.
During these past few years, my wife and I also embraced a joyful new tradition — stepping into the boots of Santa and Mrs. Claus, following in the footsteps of my in-laws, who are professional Santas. We’ve brought holiday cheer to families across Chicago, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, creating memories that reminded us how powerful joy and human connection really are.
Even during my last Santa season, I stayed committed to my health journey. I trained daily, walking the local outdoor track and hitting the gym between shifts. Some of the moms and grandmas started calling me the “fit Santa,” and I couldn’t help but laugh — this Santa was truly making a comeback!
Now, I’m merging my two worlds — fitness and insurance — helping people protect their health financially while improving it physically. I’ve become passionate about fasting, carnivore-style eating, and lifestyle strategies that reduce inflammation and promote longevity.
As of October 11, 2025, I weigh 241 pounds, and my goal is to reach 225 by Christmas — which also happens to be my 50th birthday.
My mission today is simple: to help people live healthier, longer, and more fulfilling lives — and to show that no matter how many times life knocks you down, you can always start again, stronger than before.
My story isn’t just about fitness.
It’s about resilience.
It’s about growth.
It’s about believing that it’s never too late to change, to rebuild, or to inspire others along the way.
And I’m just getting started. 💪
My name is Anna, and here is my story. I started the program on January 9, 2016, and I am now down 20 lbs. in 6 weeks. I’ve been on many diets over the past 25+ years, which included Weight Watchers, Nutrisystem, Jenny Craig, the jello diet, the cucumber diet … you name it I’ve tried it. I would lose the weight but eventually gain all of it back plus more. I’m not discrediting those other weight loss programs as they work for others, but they did not work for me. This program does work, and I’ve seen results in a short amount of time and look forward to seeing the end result. I have to say that this is the easiest weight loss program I have EVER been on. And an added plus is that the food is really good, especially the bars, cereals, shakes and brownies. Another added plus is that you have a health coach and lots of support. The first day I met Micky I was very upfront with what I expected of him and how I thought workouts should go. My statement was short and simple. I said, "If you work me too hard, I'll quit. If you don't work me hard enough, I'll quit." That created a very fine line for him to follow, which he has managed now for close to five years. In my experience I have found Micky to be very patient but structured. He mixes things up! He brain storms multiple exercise options to address your target areas, some using weights and machines while others are exercises you can do anywhere you have space and motivation! He works with your personal strengths and weaknesses as well as taking care to discuss and work around any injuries or trouble areas you may have.
He is a wonderful resource and great motivator, and is good at providing direction and ideas to get you focused!
Micky is an active, intense, and dedicated trainer. He is a stellar nutritionist and works hard to get to know his clients' needs and goals. Micky is proactive and positive the moment you meet him. I now realize what it truly takes to be fit and healthy.
I started training with you 8 weeks after the birth of my son. I had 40 lbs to lose and within 8 months, it was gone. All 40 lbs. I could not imagine working with anyone else. The attention to detail, the excitement of what's new this week and the hard work combined with laughter make this wellness journey one of my favorite things in life! Micky is an excellent personal trainer. He helps you meet your goals with individual workout and nutritional information as well as one-on-one support. I trained with Micky while working on my certification to be a yoga instructor. He helped me increase my strength while avoiding injury and was a big part of my success in reaching my goal.
When I made the decision to start training, I wasn't sure really where to go or who to see. I had some bad experiences with gyms & their own trainers. Micky Francis is a Personal Fitness Trainer with 10+ years of experience. He is NFPT Certified (The National Federation of Professional Trainers) which is also nationally accredited, as well as FMS Certified.
